The first LAHLC meeting of 2025 took place at Roscoe’s Famous Deli in Fullerton, CA on January 9. 2025. The Club & guests enjoyed dinner & drinks, followed by the thrilling Orange Bowl CFP semi-final where the Fighting Irish cinched a berth in the College Football title game by defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions 27-24 .
Congratulations to Marty Fox for winning the prestigious Lumberman of the Year Award for 2018.
Charlie Bohnhoff won the 2018 LAHLC Founders award. Christa Ellis and Michael Bohnhoff were at his side during the presentation.
On December 8, 2012 the Los Angeles Hardwood Lumberman’s Club held their annual holiday party in the Bordeaux Room at Mr. Stox restaurant in
Anaheim, California. The Caligula-esque menu featured slow roasted aged
Angus prime rib, mesquite grilled salmon and chicken, skewered filet of
beef with Jack Daniels, mini beef wellington, jumbo tiger shrimp, and
spicy vegetable spring rolls. An a capella trio serenaded the group with
Christmas carols throughout the evening.
Longtime LAHLC member and club historian, Walter Ralston (Cramer Lumber,Arcadia, CA) was presented with a Founders Award for his years of service to the club. Ralston also donated a piece of hand carved artwork for a raffle which was won by Steve Ondich (Commercial Forest Products, Fontana) The LAHLC member of the year award was presented to club president, Dan Bohannon (Bohannon Lumber, Long Beach, CA).
